Seven international tire makers have factories in Russia: Bridgestone Corp., Continental A.G., Michelin Group, Nokian Tyres P.L.C., Pirelli Tyre S.p.A., Titan International Inc. and Yokohama Rubber Co.
Michelin is the first foreign tire manufacturer, which launched its factory in Russia in 2004. Michelin factory is situated in Davydovo, Moscow region. Today Michelin in Eastern-European region unites 11 countries and employs around 1000 people.
Bridgestone had decided in March to suspend all manufacturing activities and freeze new investments in Russia following the country's invasion of Ukraine. The Tokyo-based company has more than 1,000 workers in Russia, mainly at its tyre factory in Ulyanovsk and sales office in Moscow.
We do not have manufacturing operations in Ukraine, Russia or Belarus, and we are taking numerous actions to ensure continuity of supply for raw materials used in manufacturing, some of which are sourced from the affected area.
