What does Black Noir do in The Boys?
Master Martial Artist: Black Noir is an expert hand-to-hand combatant, highly trained in various forms of martial arts.
Driven insane by a lack of purpose, Noir resolved to frame Homelander for various atrocities as part of a plan to gradually drive him insane and replace him. However, he is ultimately killed by Homelander and Billy Butcher.
Most notably, however, Maeve was in a relationship with Homelander, but broke up with him when he tricked her into having a blindfolded sex session with Black Noir and physically assaulted her when questioned about it.

Ever since the incident, Black Noir has never taken off his mask.
Superhuman Strength: Black Noir is strong enough to kill Homelander, needing just one punch to completely destroy his jaw. He is stronger than Homelander, who could hurl a fighter jet with one hand and kill Queen Maeve with just one punch.
As season 3 has now proven, that freedom even extends to the story's ending. The Boys' closing comic volumes pit Billy Butcher against Homelander at the White House, but their fated battle is interrupted by Black Noir, who shockingly unmasks to reveal himself as a Homelander clone.

He then asks Noir if he knew that Soldier Boy was his father and kept that information from him and when Noir nods his head in the affirmative, Homelander punches a hole through his midsection. He almost felt regret while doing it, evidenced by the fact that he was in tears just before killing him.
The Incident With Starlight
Black Noir is all brawn in the series and he rarely even interacts with other characters. In the comics, he's different. For example, he is part of the trio that sexually assaults Starlight when she becomes a member of The Seven along with Homelander and A-Train.
By the end of the season, Hughie decides to make a change with his life. He leaves The Boys and goes to Victoria Neuman asking to work with her. Even though he still wants to take Vought down he wants to do it in the right way and not "covered by blood and guts." A year later, life finally seems to smile on Hughie.
Black Noir died at the end of The Boys season 3, yet there is a way the character could return for The Boys season 4 while also paying off a comic book twist. After two seasons of Black Noir playing a very limited role, The Boys season 3 saw the mysterious silent assassin at the center of the story.
In the finale, released on Prime Video on Thursday night, Homelander (Antony Starr) ruthlessly killed Black Noir by shoving his hand through his chest and ripping out his organs. "I don't think we walked into the finale knowing we were gonna do it," Kripke said.

This blatant rejection from his father figure also made the leader of The Seven much weaker when he faced off against Butcher and Soldier Boy – Homelander's real father. Homelander did a great job of hiding his feelings from Stan Edgar.
Ultimately, Homelander is killed by Black Noir, who is revealed to be a clone of the powerful Supe, tasked with assassinating him should he ever decide to break from the Vought-America corporation's interests.
Although Homelander is one of the main antagonists of the comic series, he is not killed by his archenemy Billy, but is instead killed by Black Noir. His name literally means "A person from one's homeland".

The more knowledge that is gained about the history of Noir and the role he played with Soldier Boy, the longevity of Noir makes it clear he has always been one the most powerful superheroes who certainly could have held his own against anyone in the Seven, other than the man who tears out his insides.
Trivia. Eric Kripke confirmed in July 2022 that Nathan Mitchell will portray a replacement Black Noir in Season Four; describing the character as a "whole new" and "really interesting and hilarious character".
Who is the weakest of seven?
